AWARDS FOR ALL

We are delighted to be awarded a grant from Awards for All of £3107 for our History Project .This consists of two information boards, one to be erected in Prospect Park and one at the newly uncovered well at Spa Mews. These will tell of the history of Starbeck and its spa waters and will be linked with new History trail leaflets that will guide you around the places of interest, As our museum has closed it is important that our history is still known and this project should ensure that happens. North Yorkshire County Council has funded over £1800 towards the main board which should be erected in late April and the Spa Mews one should e in place by the end of May. Once the leaflets are ready they will be available free of charge from Starbeck library and Post Office. The grant will also fund a new Community Notice Board on Belmont Field where all groups will be able to display their notices. Starbeck is unique and our History deserves recognition, we look forward to seeing the project completed.
