From that small act we grew and grew eventually we entered Yorkshire in Bloom in the urban category eight years ago. Our success was amazing we took joint first in 2000 overall first in 2001 and 2002, summer winner in 2003 our first spring win in 2005 and also summer, overall and most improved that year. Our committee is very small but we call on help from all sectors of the community and never get a refusal!, Brownies guides, brigades, scouts, W.I church groups and schools all play their part. Donations of money came from local people, businesses and the community fund and we receive unstinting help from Harrogate Borough Council.
STARBECK’S OWN VILLAGE SHOW
This years show was the best ever! This is the eighth year of Starbeck in Bloom organizing a Fruit Flower and Produce Show and this year we had record entries and record attendances.

AUTUMN PLANTING
Over the past few days volunteers from starbeck in bloom replanted the tubs on the high street , railway station, cenotaph and boundary wheels with winter flowers.
Britain in bloom launch night
Our Launch Night on the 22 rd February was very well attended. The Yorkshire in Bloom DVD filmed last summer was shown and Roger Blunett Chairman of Britain in Bloom gave an interesting and encouraging talk. Thank you to everyone that attended and offered their support, without you all we could never have had the success that we have.
