Aims:

• Engender an increase in civic pride of Starbeck

• Improve the floral displays, both commercial and private, throughout the village.

• Promote a heightened sense of community spirit

• Make Starbeck an even better place to live, work and visit

• Stimulate voluntary work and co-operation between community groups

 

We hope to achieve this by:

• Involving voluntary, retail and commercial groups within Starbeck

• Involving local communities

• Involving local churches

• Seeking the help of the local press (publicity and advertising)

• Working in partnership with Harrogate Borough Council

• Seeking sponsorship either financial or benefit in kind

• Sourcing funding opportunities and applying where appropriate

• Fund-raising

 Objectives:

• A cleaner, brighter, more attractive village

• Increased trade for the local shops and businesses

• An even greater sense of pride in our community

 

We have had a rolling programme of projects over the last 8 years with more plans for the future.
